Roja, who was once a popular tamil actress and leader of the women's wing of thetelugu desam party, who came to Coimbatore from Chennai, lost 2.50 Lacs Indian rupees from her handbag.This incident happened couple of days ago and is learnt that she was carrying this huge amount for some political purposes.The actress on her way to Otthapalam, Kerala got her flight at 7pm and came to coimbatore by Jet airways flight. After the flight landed in coimbatore airport at 8.30pm actress seemed to have checked her handbag for the money and found that the money was missing.
Roja, who is also the wife of popular director RK Selvamani, was perturbed by this sudden development, lodged a complaint with the airport's security officers they in turn requested the actress to take the matter with jet airways officers who were on duty at the time of the incident.
She then approached manager of the jet airways at the airport and said that she lost 2.50 Lacs Indian rupees on her way and someone swindled the money from her and also requested attempts be made to recover her lost mony.
After this she left for Otthapalam, Kerala in a car. Jet airways manager after receiving the complaint from actress roja duly informed Peelamedu police and they in turn registered a FIR and the inquiry and search is on to find out the culprit.
